Animal Crossing: New Horizons players are reminded to make a backup of their save files before upgrading to the Nintendo Switch OLED model, according to the company.

Earlier this week, the official Nintendo of Europe Twitter account issued a public service announcement (PSA) reminding Animal Crossing Bells players of the importance of backing up their save file if they intend to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch OLED when it launches later this week. The tweet also included a step-by-step guide on how to accomplish this.

Are you looking to back up your island in preparation for your brand new Nintendo Switch OLED? Look no further. Take the following steps.
1. Launch Animal Crossing Items and select a user who has a Nintendo Account that is compatible with the game.
2. From the title screen, select the Settings option by pressing the  button.
3) Select Island Backup, followed by Enable island backup.
That is all there is to it. However, there are a few things you should take into consideration before proceeding. First and foremost, the person attempting to transfer their island must have an active Nintendo Switch Online account to complete the transfer. They also need to be connected to a reliable internet connection during the transfer process, and they must have at least one resident living on the island to which they are attempting to transfer their residence.

ACNH Bells' title screen will display the date and time that players last backed up their island, allowing them to see when they last backed up their island in real time. A new backup of the island will be created on a regular basis as long as the Nintendo Switch is connected to the internet and Animal Crossing is not being played, ensuring that you always have the most recent version of your backup save file available.

You should prepare your island on your new Nintendo Switch OLED as soon as possible because there will be an update in the game in November that will affect it. During an animal crossing buy items-specific direct, which will take place on Friday, October 15, 2021, all of the specifics of this upcoming update will be revealed.
