In the production of bias tires, in recent years, it has become a general trend to use pin-type cold-feed rubber extruder instead of hot-feed extruder, which has developed rapidly, such as compound tread extrusion, various apex, and various types of rubber. For extrusion, many production plants use pin-type cold-feed rubber extruders. In the production of rubber hoses, pin-type cold-feed rubber extruders are also used for inner and outer rubber extrusion.
The work is divided into four phases: in the first phase, the machine must accept the feeding material, convey and compact the compounded rubber; in the second phase, the rubber must be heated and plasticized to make it a more flowable block; the third phase The extruder must mix and heat homogenize the compound; in the fourth stage, pressure must be established to force the compound to pass through the die. For hot-fed extruders, the second and third stages are provided by preheated open mills.
